Adjaye Associates’ first condominium in New York is a sturdy tower set to soar 66 storeys high by 2020. In collaboration with Lightstone, Sir David Adjaye created a design inspired by the heritage of masonry architecture in the city, in contrast to the glass slabbed-storeys of downtown Manhattan’s Financial District – the structured facade of 130 William features textured hand-cast concrete with bronze detailing.

Sales are launching in Spring 2018 for 130 William’s 244 residences – varying in size from studio to five bedroom – which will each feature interiors designed by Adjaye Associates. The large arched windows will bring plenty of light into the loft-style spaces and the penthouses will feature loggias with double-height ceilings.

A rooftop observatory deck, yoga studio, swimming pool and basketball court are just some of the private wellness-themed amenities that 130 William will provide its residents, who on leaving the building will walk through a public park and plaza that will provide a healthy buffer between home and the bustle of New York.
